SWD TCP/IP for QNX2 allows QNX2-based systems and networks to communicate with the majority of today's system
platforms using Ethernet. In addition to the previous client-only services, the current version offers full server functionality
on the socket level as well as for standard applications such as: - ftp, rsh, rwho and telnet.
On the application level, the package offers a suite of standard client programs including:
- ping, ftp, telnet, rlogin, rsh, rcp, rwho finger and route.
In addition, the protocol stack supports services for remote clients through a series of background
tasks such as:
- inetd, fingerd, ftpd, rshd, rwhod, and telnetd.
For application developes, the package offers a large subset of the 4.4BSD-Lite socket library. All
of the following functions have been newly ported and adapted to the QNX2 environment:
- ipc_find_server(), inet_ntoa(), htons(), getpeername(), gethostbyaddr(), getpgrp(), setpgrp(),
gethostbyname(), getsockname(), gethostent(), socket(), bind(), accept(), listen(), select(),
connect(), getsockopt(), setsockopt(), s_send(), s_adopt(), recv(), tfind(), write(), and shutdown().
